Latest OxygenOS Open Beta for OnePlus 3/3T brings April Security Patches and Membership Card tracking in Shelf

The OnePlus 6 is getting a lot of attention these days, but OnePlus hasn’t forgotten about older devices. Last week, they released a new OxygenOS open beta for the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T. The beta included improved location accuracy for weather and a “network boost” feature in Gaming Mode. Today, a couple older phones are getting some love. OnePlus has released OxygenOS open beta 34 for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T.

Changelog:

System

  • Updated Android security patch to 2018-04

OnePlus Clock

  • Changes to alarm background color and other UI changes
  • Stopwatch updated with new UI

OnePlus Switch

  • Added support to migrate application data, allowing you to switch between devices seamlessly

Card Package

  • Added new membership card in Shelf

OnePlus has been good about releasing the latest security patches. This update comes almost exactly a month after they released the February patch. The update is still based on OxygenOS 5.0 and Android 8.0 Oreo. Other changes include UI tweaks to the clock app and new app migration tools in OnePlus Switch. There is also a new membership card in the Shelf.

If you are already running an open beta on the OnePlus 3 or 3T you will receive the new build as an OTA. Users who are not running an open beta can download and flash the ROM from the link below. This will put you on the beta path for future updates. Going back to the official path will require a full install and wipe.
